Crafted for power, precision, and durability, this Hand-Forged High Carbon Kamani Steel Cleaver is built to handle heavy-duty butchering tasks with effortless ease.

Forged from tough leaf-spring (Kamani) high-carbon steel, the blade features a polished satin finish that offers supreme edge retention and raw chopping performance—making it an absolute powerhouse for processing mutton, beef, and dense bone cuts.

The handle is ergonomically sculpted from premium African Wenge Wood, secured with solid brass pins and accented by a striking, decorative brass bolster that provides exceptional balance and forward chopping momentum. Weighing in at a substantial 1 kg, the cleaver lets gravity do the heavy lifting for smooth, clean chops every time.

Care & Maintenance Instructions

Because high-carbon (Kamani) steel offers superior hardness and edge sharpness compared to standard stainless steel, it requires proper care to prevent rust and maintain its finish:

  • Hand Wash Only: Wash immediately after use with warm water and mild dish soap. Never put this cleaver in a dishwasher.

  • Dry Thoroughly: Wipe the blade and brass handle dry completely with a clean cloth immediately after washing—do not let it air dry.

  • Oil the Blade: Apply a thin coat of food-grade mineral oil, butcher block oil, or cooking oil to the blade before storing to protect against moisture and oxidation.

  • Maintain the Wood: Periodically rub a small amount of mineral oil or beeswax conditioner into the African Wenge wood handle to keep it hydrated and rich in color.

  • Proper Storage: Store in a dry place, preferably in a protective leather sheath or magnetic block.
